The purpose of the Long Island Chapter is to:
– increase interest in the study of Spanish and Portuguese
– keep teachers informed of current trends in second language acquisition,
meetings, and relevant cultural events
– promote friendship and professional growth among teachers of Spanish
and Portuguese at all levels of instruction
– provide opportunities for members to communicate with native speakers
